Work, work, work, work, work.

There are a lot of gorgeous, and completely impractical things on As much as I’d love to buy a ball gown, or a cat suit, the fact remains, I spend upwards to fifty hours a week at work. When I’m not working, I’m in transit to work. Or I’m running errands after work. My entire life revolves around the office, really, so it only seems fitting that the items I’m featuring here are things that I’ve purchased for work.

Item #1: Elegant Womens Lady Lace Splicing Evening Party Pencil Slim Midi Bodycon Dresses

What is it: This is a basic, but lovely business casual dress. I ordered a medium, in red.

What I notice: This was my first Wish order. This dress kept popping up in my Facebook feed, and it has now lead me here. This dress is unequivocally my style, right down to the colour and the lace detailing. I have a few similar pieces in my wardrobe, but nothing quite like this. This dress will be perfect for the office, but I know that I also won’t mind wearing it on the weekends as well.

Hopes and dreams: I have such high hopes for this dress. I want it to be perfect. I want to order fifteen more, most of them white, so I can dye them every colour I could ever need, and then wear nothing but this dress ever again. The reviews look decent as well, it seems a majority of people are very pleased with this dress. There’s the odd few who are upset with the quality, but for the price, if I wear it a few times, then it falls apart in the wash, it will still have made me incredibly happy for a very small price.

Item #2: Women Fashion Solid Slim Spaghetti Strap Bottoming Dress Bodycon Elastic Cotton Skirt White Grey Navy Blue Black

What is it: Super basic, plain, cotton dress. I ordered the medium, in Grey.

What I notice: This is the most basic of basic dresses. It can be worn with a cardigan and some flats, or a blazer and some heels and be an all around great base for an office outfit. I can wear this to the park with a big hat, or over my bathing suit at the beach. Simple, versatile, a staple in my wardrobe, but an item I’m lacking currently. It does have the potential to be a little short though, so this may be a flats only outfit, unless I can find a good long cardigan to pair with it.

Hopes and dreams: I don’t want it to be too short. I really, really, really don’t want it to be too short. I can make it work for the office if it’s too short, but it will definitely be tougher. A lot of reviews say that it’s transparent, which also makes me a little nervous. I’m hoping it’s people who are not giving themselves enough room in the piece, and it’s stretching too much, as the pictures don’t make the material look even remotely transparent. Over all, I’m hopeful that regardless, this dress will get much wear.

Item #3: Women OL Formal Business Work Stretch Dress 2016 Long Sleeve V-neck Plaid Patchwork Party Slim Bodycon Pencil Dress

What is it: This is another relatively basic business casual dress. I order this in white, in the medium.

What I notice: This is a little out of my comfort zone. I typically stick to a darker palette, and this does have the option of the same skirt, but a black top. However, I decided to challenge myself a little, and try something new. I think having something white will be a nice change. Patterns are also out of my comfort zone. Despite not being something I would typically love, I think I’ll enjoy having a little diversity in my work wardrobe.

Hopes and dreams: I mostly just hope this looks okay, and that I like the colour on myself. This purchase is actually a little nerve wrecking for me, for the price, the reviews are stronger in the negative range, than they are positive, but for a dress out of my usually style, I really fell in love. I’m keeping my fingers crossed, and being positive.

Yes, two of these dresses should have arrived by now. I assure you that they have not. These were purchased when I had the wrong postal code set, so I think I’ve got some time yet before any of these items arrive, though I get more and more excited coming home every day. Once things start to arrive, I have a feeling it will all arrive at once, or within a few days of each other.
